Who doesn’t know the feeling of heavy, tired legs – especially in the evening? When you’ve been on your feet all day. But is it any wonder? The leg musculature has to work hard – and the veins likewise. But what do veins actually do? Now – as we all know, the human blood vessels form a closed system. The heart is the motor and pumps the blood, which is enriched with oxygen in the lungs, into the arteries. From there it passes to the organs and provides the various cells of the body with nutrients and oxygen. Once the oxygen has been used up by the cells, the blood needs to get back to the heart and the lungs, in order to be enriched with oxygen once more. And this is where the veins come in. Its their job to collect the deoxygenated blood, loaded up with metabolic / break down products and, against the force of gravity, to transport it back to the heart. Well spotted – against the force of gravity! This is an extremely hard job. Therefore they get help from the muscles. The musculature around the veins exerts pressure on the walls of the veins through contraction. This allows the veins to pump the “used” blood back to the heart. Like all the other organs in the body, the veins need certain nutrients. In order to help the well-being of the veins, and thus the legs, we have concocted an extremely polished nutrient recipe for our Venovit capsules.
