The magic word to enhance this natural process is "carotenoids". Carotenoids are natural plant pigments that give plants their rich, beautiful colours. The red and pink colour of salmons or lobsters, or the red colour of flamingo feathers is merely a gigantic accumulation of carotenoid molecules. Yet, beauty was not exactly the purpose that Mother Nature had in mind for carotenoids but rather to meet a host of vital functions.
Perhaps the most "renowned" carotenoid is beta-carotene derived from carrots, but there are many more. But Beta-carotene is only one of about 600 different types of carotenoids. The seawater alga by the name of Dunaliella salina provides particularly valuable and a wide variety of carotenoids. Dunaliella salina boasts with a grand total of, believe it or not, thirty different carotenoids including beta-carotene, alpha-carotene, zeaxanthin, cryptoaxanthin, lutein and many more.
Carotenoids fulfil many vital functions in the human organism, one of those is to convert carotene into vitamin A. As soon as the body has sufficient amounts of vitamin A, it will store the remaining carotenoids in skin cells, giving the skin its healthy colour.
Carotenoids naturally occur always as certain compounds. Beta-carotene, for example, features two different molecular structures, the so-called isomers (cis isomers and trans isomers). Yet, synthetically produced beta-carotene only features trans isomers. It is commonly assumed that if the human organism is flooded only with beta-carotene that the absorption of other useful carotenoids such as cis beta-carotene, alpha-carotene, lutein, lycopine, or zeaxanthin is blocked. This is not really what Mother Nature have had in mind.
Unlike synthetically produced beta-carotene, the Dunaliella salina alga used by us contains both, the trans and the cis isomers provided by beta-carotene. This ensures a high bioavailability of carotenoids contained therein.
In order to improve the bioavailability or, in other words, to improve how well the body can use the thirty 30 different, naturally occurring carotenoids of Dunaliella salina, we have refined the formula for "Magic Sun" yet with the following natural ingredients: rosehip oil, sunflower oil, vitamin D3, folic acid and carrot seed oil.

By the way: it's kind of hard to believe but the most expensive ingredient in "Magic Sun" is carrot seed oil. This is probably quite a surprising revelation since carrots are readily available at any supermarket for hardly any money at all. The oil however is not extracted from the carrot itself but rather from the seeds. Only the seeds provide the valuable ingredients needed for "Magic Sun". Extracting the oil from the seeds, however, is very complicated and actually we are using the most elaborate procedure of them all. We believe it's well worth our effort since this way we can ensure that the oil was extracted without the use of any solvents. This means there are no detrimental residual substances in our carrot seed oil, which would not necessarily be the case if other processes were applied. Additionally, our process to extract oil ensures that all valuable nutrients remain intact.
